For maximum safety, all participants are required to read the race rules and all event information published on the official website.

 

The organizer reserves the right to modify rules and information, primarily for safety reasons. Any updates will be communicated to participants in a timely manner.

ELIGIBILITY

1. All participants must be 12 years or older.

2. Participants under 18 years may only compete in the Dedek Kajbumščak and Šumski Gujdek races if accompanied by a responsible adult, who must sign a liability waiver.

3. By registering, all participants acknowledge they are competing at their own risk, understand the rules and assume full responsibility for their participation.

4. Participants waive the right to transfer liability to the organizer for any damage or third-party claims.

5. The organizer is not liable for lost, stolen, or damaged equipment.

6. Participants must have valid health insurance and carry the mandatory gear.

7. In 2025, the race is part of the KontinenTrail League, and by accepting these rules, participants also accept the league rules.

CATEGORIES, RANKINGS & AWARDS

1. Overall and gender-specific rankings will be calculated for each course.

2. The top 3 male and female finishers in each race will receive trophies and sponsor gift packages.

3. All finishers will receive a unique finisher’s medal.

TIMEKEEPING

1. Official timekeeping provided by Utrka.com.

2. Timing begins at the start signal and stops at the finish line.

3. Arriving after the time limits (on the Dedek Kajbumščak course) at control points or the finish results in disqualification (time DNF).

MANDATORY GEAR

1. Fully charged mobile phone with the organizer’s number saved

2. Race bib, clearly visible (provided by organizer)

3. Appropriate footwear and clothing, suited to weather conditions

4. Whistle

5. First aid kit (mandatory for Šumski Gujdek and Dedek Kajbumščak)

6. Own cup and/or water bottle (min. 0.5L for Šumski Gujdek, 1.0L for Dedek Kajbumščak)

7. Note: No disposable plastic cups at aid stations!

8. The organizer reserves the right to check equipment at any time during the race.

REGISTRATION & ENTRY

1. Register via the official website: www.kajbumscak.com or www.stotinka.hr

2. Registration is valid only upon successful form submission and fee payment by the deadline set by the organizer.

3. No race-day registration or payments allowed.

4. In case of force majeure (e.g., extreme weather, war, pandemics, earthquakes):

   1. The organizer may postpone or cancel the event.

   2. Runners will be offered:

      1. Transfer to the new date

      2. 50% refund

      3. Or transfer to the following year’s race (confirmation required within 2 weeks).

5. Entry Options & Deadlines

   1. Full package (with premium gear belt): until May 3, 2025

   2. Late entry (without SportHG halo belt): May 4 – June 13, 2025

   3. Basic entry: until June 18, 2025

6. Bib transfer and course changes: allowed until June 18, 2025

7. No course changes on race day!

8. No refunds for non-attendance. Race packets can be picked up at the organizer’s office by prior arrangement (no shipping).

 

WITHDRAWALS & INJURIES

1. Withdrawals are allowed at any time.

2. Runners must notify the organizer (via phone or SMS to the number printed on the bib).

3. The organizer will only provide assistance for injured runners.

DISQUALIFICATION RULES

1. Violation of any race rule

2. Ignoring written or verbal instructions

3. Unsportsmanlike behavior, damaging property, or harming race reputation

4. Shortcutting, using unauthorized equipment, or receiving external help

5. Using vehicles or transportation – leads to disqualification and future ban

6. Arriving after the time limit at checkpoints or finish

ECO RULES

1. No lighting fires, polluting, or damaging flora and fauna

2. Carry all waste to the next aid station or finish (sorting bins available)

3. No littering in mountain huts or along the course

4. Violations will result in disqualification

SAFETY RULES

1. All mandatory gear must be carried

2. Runners must have required documents

3. Must follow all written and verbal instructions

4. In case of emergency, assist fellow runners

5. Organizer may prevent runners from continuing if deemed unsafe

6. Croatian Mountain Rescue Service (HGSS) will be on standby

 

COURSE CHANGES

1. The organizer may shorten or alter the course or schedule in case of unsafe weather or conditions.

 

RUNNING WITH DOGS

1. Allowed only on Mali Krap course

2. Dogs must be on a leash at the start/finish area and first 500 m

3. Runners with dogs are not eligible for podium awards

1. Must be submitted in writing within 24 hours after the race to:

MEDIA CONSENT

1. By registering, participants agree that all video/photo material may be publicly used for race promotion.

2. The organizer retains all rights to use, copy, and distribute such content.

EPIDEMIC PROTOCOLS

1. The race will comply with the latest health and safety regulations in force at the time of the event. This may include limiting participant numbers, wave starts, and restricted gathering in finish area.
